The vote by the Labour Party Conference to adopt an independent disciplinary system to address antisemitism in the party was born of a moral, political and legal imperative.
Moral, because we are supposed to be a party committed to fighting racists, not harbouring them.
Political, because who can doubt that the stain of Labour antisemitism told voters all they needed to know about Jeremy Corbyn.
