I'm Mike Katz, a lifelong UK Labour Party member, activist, former Camden councillor and sometime parliamentary candidate, based in north west London.
I'm National Chair of the Jewish Labour Movement - one of the Labour Party's oldest affiliated socialist societies - and that means I've been in the front line of the Labour Party's antisemitism crisis, and its recovery from that crisis, from 2015.
Here on Medium, I'm sharing my regular articles in a variety of publications, reflecting on that crisis, how JLM has fought to stop Labour from being racist against Jews and how the Party has recovered from it under the leadership of Keir Starmer. I'm currently sit on the Labour Party's antisemitism advisory board. I also sit on the Daily Mirror's editorial advisory panel. I'm married, with two daughters and I'm serving a life sentence as a Spurs fan.
